VIEWSSo finally Google has answered. Apple announced their first iOS8 Beta version in June and there is a clear focus towards – Health & Fitness. On Monday, Beta 5 is released with much enhanced features to cover more clinical tools in the industry. The world was waiting for Google to respond. And Google has released a preview SDK for the Google Fit Platform to capture the Fitness industry. The platform features three sets of APIs that allows manufactures and third party developers to capture the data from Android device.
The initial release only allows integration of the data on local device. But Cloud services can be expected before the full version is released. The advantage of Google is they do not only have Android powered devices – Google will also integrate Google Fit with their other products such as – Google Glass and android smart watch development.
Google Fit will provide perfectly balanced platform to develop standalone fitness apps as well as hardware to software integration. Therefore, it promises the interoperability between the devices, interactive exchange of user data, assembling the data from multiple devices and also to provide a perfect presentation of user’s health and fitness.
